Sometimes when we won't be able to remove some certain software which are causing some problems to our computer such as due to some malware, viruses, etc. we can use Safe Mode. In safe mode operating system loads only necessary files to run the computer and excludes all the other software programs that loads normal mode.
Start Windows XP/VISTA/7/8/8.1 in safe mode:

- If you are able to use your computer normally then you can use this method to start your computer in safe mode.
- In some computer you can boot into safe mode by holding shift key and restarting the computer from start menu(in windows 8 from right side panel). If you were not successful then you can try the methods given below.
- Open run command by pressing windows button + r
- Type msconfig and hit enter
- Then a window will open then move to boot tab and check the safe boot with minimal setting.
- Now restart the computer and select in which type of safe mode you want to restart your computer(for safe mode options see at the bottom of the post).
2. If you are not able to start your computer normally then you can use this method
- Reboot the computer and press F8 key immediately before windows logo appears to see Advanced Options to boot into safe mode.
- If you have multi operating system installed in your computer then it you can open Advance Options when you reboot your computer and then select the safe mode option.
Safe Mode options:
- Safe mode This will boot the computer without internet connection and driver. It is useful for removing any suspicious file.
- Safe mode with networking In this mode you will be able to use the internet connection as it loads ethernet driver.
- Safe mode with command prompt This will boot the computer with the command prompt.
